Who finds the -ess suffix in actress offensive?

••This is not a poll and I don't care about your personal opinion on the matter•• I want to know which groups, individuals or organizations are known for wanting to adopt the term 'actor' rather than 'actress' for female actors. Any editorials written by folks who are against the usage of the term 'actress' or other sources would be appreciated.
