Does my employer owe me overtime?

I clock in at 6:30 am and drive 1.5 hrs to the jobsite I then travel 1.5 hrs back to the shop I then clock out around 4:30-5:00pm My paystub shows all hrs worked (example: 56 hrs) at my normal pay rate I should be paid time and a half for anything over 40 hrs. I live in CA and have found no overtime exemptions that adhere to me .....anyone?????
