Runaway teen questions?

Okay well basically at school in COPE, we're doing like runaway teens, suicide etc. Me and my friend are working in pairs on it and she took the suicide, self harm, etc part of it leaving me to do the runaway bit. i've been researching it and have found something called a 'youth hostel'? Could anybody explain this further to me, about the legality of it and also if anybody knows of any other places that accept teenagers on a daily basis into anonymous care and accomodation? i've written like a paragraph about children going into care etc, but now i just need places to go for teens that have ran away. Could anybody help me in finding information? thankyou in advance:) <3
