Does taking seroquel at night help with anxiety during the next day?

My doctor prescribed me to take seroquel at night...thank god he did bc its very sedating.....he said the medication with help during the next day as well...but its not an extended release....I dont just want this for sleep I want it to stabilize my moods....will it help during the day even though I take it at night
