Any Army Recruiters here or service men/women?

Cavalry Scout, like Infantry, have some of the lowest qualification standards for enlistment. Many super qualified people choose those MOS's because they are the jobs that do the most "army stuff" but it doesn't take a lot to actually get them. He is most likely lying unless there is some other undisclosed issue. If he doesn't have the guts to be open and honest with his family and he is a pathological liar, he would just have a hard time in the military anyway. Depending on the severity of what he was being dishonest about, he could recieve Non-Judicial Punishment or just get the crap kicked out of him.
