Eye irritation with bruising (currently deployed)?

Eye irritation on one side near exterior lacrimal in corner of eye (Canuc lacrim?) Itching off and on but not severe swelling, minimal redness. Brusing is about the size of a quarter and looks like it is running from the oppening of the lower duct (hole in lower, inner eyelid). We have an eye doc here (I am deployed but he has no gear) who thought I might have rubbed it wrong, or poss an allergy. Been two weeks with no real change to bruising or irritation. Small discomfort likely from swelling. Not sure what to do and traveling to a doctor is a pain in the ***. Suggstions? I am using some allergy eye drops x 2 days and taking allegra. Is it poss I just scratched the tissue by rubbing it (hence bruise below)? How concerned should I be. No drainage, no overflow of tears, no apparent dryness, no crusting. Just irritated with a bruise below. If it is a minor infection will it go away without treatment?
