My iguana has bit her hand accidentally and now it's swollen!?

I got my iguana about 3 months ago. She was 2 - 2 1/2 years old. She was not held often by her previous owner. Since I got her I have bee holding her every day to try to get her tamed. Unfortunately the iguana is still very aggressive. When I hold her she tries to bite me (she has already like 5 times). She starts moving her arms and legs as if trying to get away and she will accidentally bite herself in her hand, which has since become swollen! What can I do?
