Extremely sore throat and lots of blood in my phlegm.?

last night my throat started to feel like someone had stabbed it with a knife on one side I figured it was just a sore throat and went on to bed this morning I woke up and hey there is a good amount of blood in my phlegm. no sneezing no coughing(well I have been coughing a little but not enough to truly be notable) no fever no chills no allergies no headache just me the throat and the bloody phlegm and it hurts to talk. but yeah everything was going good and suddenly my mum wants to take me to the doctors yuk any clues as to what this is so I'll be prepared would be great thank you.
